Equity and Bicycling
This presentation addresses a wide array of data and research into the relationship between bicycle riding and social and spatial characteristics. It includes a discussion of the intersection of cycling with factors such as race, gender, suburbanization, citizenship, and poverty, as they relate to participation, need, and outcomes. The Planning Commission is invited to discuss and ask questions, and to consider how transportation planning - including programs and infrastructure - in Grand Junction can best serve the full diversity of the cycling public.
