The Planning board may feel that this rezoning request is in line of their plans for GJ, but to start this rezoning right in the middle of the block, just doesn't seem right to me. As you say, the rebuild will be "in line" with the existing architecture in this area, I don't believe that will be the case. The example of my opinion is the monstrosity built on the 10th block of Colorado Ave. What part of that 3.5 story condo is consistent to the neighborhood? As the owner of 1005 Belford, we worked closely with the planning board to build an auxiliary unit that truly was consistent with the neighborhood. This rezoning will not be consistent, in my opinion. I am opposed to this rezoning.
